The Mechanical Student Association (HMM) Faculty of Engineering, University of Mataram organized the National Mechanical Design Competition (MDC), a national level design competition using Autodesk-Inventor. This activity was held in commemoration of the 2024 Anniversary of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The competition has attracted wide attention with a total of 55 participants from 14 provinces across Indonesia!
Event Details:
🔹 Registration (April 5 – May 14, 2024): Participants from various regions in Indonesia registered to join this prestigious competition. During this period, enthusiasm was evident as many participants registered to showcase their mechanical design skills.
🔹 Technical Meeting (May 15, 2024): The Technical Meeting was held to provide technical direction and explanation to all participants. In this session, the organizers explained the competition rules, assessment criteria, and answered questions from participants to ensure that everyone understood the procedures and objectives of the competition clearly.
🔹 Race Day (May 18, 2024): The day of the competition is the culmination of all the preparations. Participants compete in high spirits, showcasing their best design work using Autodesk-Inventor. The competition not only tests the technical skills but also the creativity and innovative ability of the participants.
🔹 Announcement of Competition Results (May 29, 2024): After judging by an experienced jury, the winners will be announced on May 29, 2024. This will be a much-awaited moment, where the best entries will get the recognition they deserve.
Expectations and Goals: MDC aims to be a platform for engineering students across Indonesia to hone and showcase their skills in mechanical design. In addition, this activity is expected to encourage collaboration and innovation among students, as well as strengthen the network between universities in the field of engineering.
